A tree which looks as if it's dipping into the Lake of Central park Park side drive within the park itself in Autumn
A stroll away from Besthesda Terrace towards the west will get you to this edge of the Lake. Great Tree huh? Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall it's quite a sight. Leaning towards the water's edge it takes on an almost human like stance and appearance. There are many similar trees, both haunting and beautiful, to be found within Central Park's borders from the East Side to the West Side, from 59th Street to 100th Street. Here we're traveling along the western side of the drive which goes around Central Park. These trees leaves just happened to be turning a bit early since it's now well over a week later and not much else has changed color. But in another few days? Wow!

Some yellow leaves can be seen on these trees...but just not yet. Looks to be a perfect autumn this year.
Same trees as before with a closer upfront view. First days of 2002's Autumn brought us rain and downcast skies. I mean, really really dark! Dark on the side of Gothic.
