The first three photos on this page continues with our visit to the Harlem Meer located within Central Park, NYC. It truly was peaceful and beautiful here on this day following the over 26 inches of snowfall which came down upon us the previously. In those photos we were facing southward. Next up is a photograph of one of the two lions (named "Patience" and "Fortitude") guarding the entrance to the NY Public Library found at 5th Avenue between 40th and 42nd streets. The following and last photo on this page is of the street just in front of the library itself. Notice the workers shoveling snow onto the huge mound there on the street? There ARE those of us within the outer boroughs who weren't too pleased about the attention we'd gotten for our snow laden streets. As for the city itself? Well, they'd done a tremendous job and for that we'll have to compliment all involved! |
