As in years past the crowds got deep as we all gathered for the annual Winter's Eve and Christmas Tree Lighting at Lincoln Center on the uppwer west side of Manhattan. Local Weatherman Sam Champion was quite the host and the musical and other performances were a joy as well. |
Here's to many more years of these sorts of festivities in NYC. Thanks Mr. Champion and all others for a terrific show! The photo above features Sam, part of the troupe who performed a bit from the Nutcracker Suite and Mickey Mouse himself. |
The Big Apple Chorus was there in front of the South Street Seaport Tree belting out those fave holiday tunes. If you haven't been down there to enjoy this then this is just as good a season as any for you to see what all the fuss it about. |
The true spirit was there and well the tree was as beautiful as ever! So why not head on down yourself to enjoy what this season has for everybody. |
Folks were at the newly added Pond in Bryant Park to skate the early evening away. Thank goodness that someone came up with this wonderful idea! Heck! Why should Central Park and all those other locales get all the fun? |
This ice skating rink is sure to chase away those blues and put a smile on your face EVEN IF you choose not to skate. Just watching all these people have fun skating within is a joy onto itself! Have fun! |
