NY Botanical Garden - Page 1

Here is the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory which is considered to be the greatest Victorian-era glasshouse in the United States. Within the conservatory is A World of Plants which offers one a chance to view thousands of plant specimens throughout the year. "There are eleven exhibition galleries provide an eye-opening journey around the world, with encyclopedic collections of tropical, subtropical, and desert plants. Exhibitions also include stunning collections of palms, ferns, cycads, and aloes."

Alongside the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, this NY Botanical Garden, located in the Bronx is considered one of the most important of all the 300 or so botanical gardens in the United States.

The Enid A. Haupt Conservatory's construction originally began in 1899 and was restored and renovated in the 1990's. It was also designated a NYC landmark in 1973. There are plenty of gardens within and outside the conservatory itself.
