There are many species of birds which live and visit Central Park throughout the year. Geese, loons, small and large, they're all here. Actually, the Audubon Society alongside NYC's Department of Parks & Recreation go around and counting them by hand and visually. Really! They make their reports public every so often (every 2 or 3 years?) I believe there are over 200 species which visit the park as of this writing.
