The foliage this autumn of 2002 in NYC looks to be the best we've had in years. With so many parks spread out amongst the five boroughs it's a shame that there are only 24 hours in a day and the turning of leaves lasts for only so long. | I would love to see every single tree out there but that's impossible. Photos here are of the Lake at Central Park on a partly cloudy day. You could see the manhattan midtown skyline below 59th Street in the first photo above. |
There's a rock formation which you can access in the upper 60's? from the road which encirlces part of the park. Many folks go out onto this area to rest, take in the beauty of the day, read and just plain hang out. | On clear days' the view from this point are truly awesome in any season. |
