Photo from the south of the Brooklyn Bridge Brooklyn Bridge base photos
From the south of the Brooklyn Bridge one can take many wonderful photos. In this photo is the Brooklyn Bridge with the Manhattan Bridge in the Background. Both of these immense structures had at their time had surpassed world records. The waters below is the East River. The Brooklyn Bridge was built by the great John August Roebling who first came up with the idea of using cables for this suspension bridge which would bridge the gap between Brooklyn and Manhattan Island. The day this photo was taken was quite unusual considering how sunny it was despite the great presence of clouds in the far off distance. Actually quite spectacular weather for going out about the town to snap photos.

Construction of the Brooklyn Bridge began on January 3, 1870 and it opened to traffic on May 24, 1883. The Photo here is of the Bridge extending to the Brooklyn side of the East River. This photo was taken from the southern side of the bridge. This particular day was just perfect for photos of any kind. The wonderful Spring air, partly cloudy skies and great visibility made it a spectacular day! Photo taken is from the northern side of the Brooklyn Bridge.
