The Pool at Central Park, NYC Photos Gallery - Page 1 |
The Pool at the West Side of Central Park which spans from 100th to 103rd Streets. Come here and take a wonderful scenic stroll around this body of water. We passed through this area many times and the water's surface always seems to be very calm regardless of how windy and breezy it might be. That may very well be due to the fact that its surrounded by trees on all sides....or maybe not? | The path leading one down below to Glenspan Arch at the northern side of the Pool. Just before this arch is one of four man-made waterfalls found within Central Park. It's quite beautiful and dreamy. Walk down below and beyond. Definitely bring your camera for the experience of this charming setting. |
Waterfowl can be found within and around the water's edges. Ducks, Geese, and more are here. In these photos above is a curious uptown Manhattanite Goose lurking about. | A piece of information we'd gotten our hands on is that as individual birds the female is called Goose and the male is called a Gander wherein 'Goose' can be used to describe the species as a whole. |
