Here is the Fête de Noël at NYC's Bryant Park. A Christmas Fair featuring over 70 artisans selling their goods and artistic offerings for sale. Of all the Holiday Fairs within New York City, this one has to be the most nicely decorated one. From the beautiful wreaths to the plantings here and there, it's a visual delight!	And of course there's the Christmas tree at Bryant Park. Last year it was located just at the 6th Avenue entrance to the park. This year in 2002 it was situated just behind the NY Public Library. It's great to see such a variation of tree sizes and shapes within the borough of Manhattan. This particular shape's never been seen by our eyes before.

This marine in the photo is welcoming all to the box of gifts for kids, or rather, Toys for Tots. He was quite a sport and very friendly. Why not visit their site: www.toyfortots.org. Something not well known is the fact that Toys for Tots has been in existence since 1947 when, "Major Bill Hendricks, USMCR and a group of Marine Reservists in Los Angeles collected and distributed 5,000 toys to needy children."

Yet another pic of the folks at the Christmas Fair at the park this late Autumn day. Photograph was taken just days before the big snow storm which was to come. Here we are facing south at the side of the park just behind the NY Public Library.
