Fort Tryon Park in Manhattan, NYC Photos Gallery - Page 3
Outside photo of the Cloisters. The welcoming sign at Fort Tryon Park.
Situated atop Fort Tryon Park is the Cloisters. Devoted to the architecture and art of Medieval Europe, the Cloisters is a branch of the great Metropolitan Museum of Art. With suggested donations, you could get in with a dollar, and maybe even less. 'but like the many other museums in this city, it's dependent on the monies it receives from the public. One special note is that the structure itself was designated a NYC landmark in 1974

Remember, what comes down must come back up. Just one of many paths throughout the park.
There are so many paths throughout the park. Arrival at the park is best done through the A train subway. Once there, there's quite an elevator ride which'll lead you to the top. Once there all you have to do is walk down and down and down and down. So have fun and bring your camera!
