Our
running around on this day after the greatest snow storm in New York
City recorded history was far from over. After heading over to the northern
tip of Central Park and onto midtown Manhattan we then headed down to
the Battery Park followed by City Hall Park. Quite the day for which
we're so very thankful. As many of you know, we've quite the soft spot
for a good Winter storm. Unfortunately the day of the storm was just
too powerful for us to dare and bear. Thus we had to settle for the day
after.
In the photos found above on this Winter Gallery page are shots taken in the lowest most tip of Manhattan Island. The top four pics were taken within Battery Park which is such a joy from which to witness any sunset regardless of the season or month. It is during this hour of the day that you can catch such wonderful silhouettes as cast upon and cast from trees and other natural forms. In this case the snow found throughout this historic park added so much to the ambien and aesthetic beauty of the day! The last photograph above features one of the statues found in front of the National Museum of the American Indian. Covered in snow that is. In another pic is the WTC Sphere whereas yet another shows the Statue of Liberty in the far off distance within New York Harbor. |
