The statue of Prometheus sits mightily amidst a fountain inside of the rink at Rockefeller.

This statue is one of a pair at the entrance into the rink. Here in this photo is the other statue welcoming all at Rockefeller Plaza in Midtown Manhattan.

A famous John D. Rockeller Quote is etched into this large plaque which all can see at the Plaza.

This photo features yet another plaque which proclaims Rockefeller Center as a National Historical Landmark.

Not long after the rain has begun we're strolling along the plaza on a midday hour.

In the photos above the first one shows off the Rock Center Cafe located where the Rink is. Therein as well is the large Statue of Prometheus known as a God from Greek Mythology. Following are two statues standing on either side of a huge plaque. It is on this plaque that are etched the words from a famous John D. Rockefeller Quote beginning with:

“I believe in the supreme with of the individual and in his right to
life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I believe that every right
implies a responsibility, every opportunity, an obligation; every
possession a duty.

"I believe
that the law was made for man and not man for the law; that
government is the servant of the people and not their master.
I believe
in the dignity of labor, whether with head or hand; that he
world owes no man a living but it owes every man an opportunity to
make a living.
I believe
that thrift is essential to well-ordered living and that
economy is a prime request of a sound financial structure, whether in
government, business or personal affairs.
I believe
in the sacredness of a promise, that a man's word should be
as good as his bond; that character-not wealth or power or position-
is of supreme worth."
...and it goes on from there.

Next photo in line is another plaque proclaiming Rockefeller Center as a National Historic Landmark, circa 1987.
The last pic features a shot of the plaza on a rainy afternoon. It is here as well that one can find additional shops, beautiful plants year round with gorgeous flowers in the Spring. There's also smaller fountains to be seen here.
